The Ministry of Home Affairs has proposed a Central Sector Scheme for Strengthening and Capacity Building of Narcotics Control Mechanism in India (SAMARTH) for the period 2026–27 to 2030–31, with a total proposed outlay of ₹4,145 crore. The Scheme is intended to operationalise the Vision Document on Narcotic Control (2026–2029) and provide a structured financial framework for strengthening narcotics control across States/UTs.
