The Special Infrastructure Scheme (SIS) strengthens the security apparatus through fortified police stations, upgraded training facilities, intelligence capabilities and essential operational equipment. Around 706 fortified police stations have been sanctioned, of which approximately 656–660 have been completed or are at advanced stages of construction. Assistance has also been provided for drones, ammunition, vehicles, training and other critical requirements of State Special Forces, State Intelligence Branches and district police.
